Hell’s Kitchen is a popular cooking competition show hosted by chef Gordon Ramsay. The show features aspiring chefs who compete in various challenges and face elimination based on their performance. The winner of the show receives a head chef position at one of Ramsay’s restaurants.
The 22nd season of Hell’s Kitchen premiered on Fox on September 28, 2023. The subtitle of this season is “The American Dream”, and it focuses on the stories of the contestants who come from different backgrounds and have different aspirations. The season has 18 contestants, divided into two teams: the Red Team and the Blue Team. The teams are led by sous-chefs Christina Wilson and Jason Santos, respectively. The maître d’hôtel is Marino Monferrato.
The first episode of the season introduced the contestants and their stories, as well as the theme of the season. The contestants had to cook their signature dishes for Ramsay, who tasted them and gave them a score out of 10. The team with the highest score won the challenge and received a reward, while the losing team faced a punishment. The episode also featured the first dinner service, where the contestants had to cook for a full house of guests. The team that performed better in the service was declared safe, while the other team had to nominate two of their members for elimination. Ramsay then decided who to send home based on their performance and potential.
