Taskmaster New Zealand Season 04 is the fourth season of the comedy game show where five Kiwi comedians compete in a series of bizarre and hilarious tasks, judged by the all-powerful Taskmaster Jeremy Wells and his loyal assistant Paul Williams. The season started on August 14, 2023, and will run for 10 episodes on TVNZ 2.
The contestants for this season are Bubbah, Dai Henwood, Karen O’Leary, Melanie Bracewell, and Ray O’Leary. They are challenged to perform various tasks that test their creativity, logic, and skills, such as leaving New Zealand, improving Paul, making a windmill, and being British. The tasks are often absurd, unpredictable, and funny, and the contestants have to use their wit and imagination to complete them. The Taskmaster awards points to the contestants based on their performance, and the contestant with the most points at the end of the season wins a trophy and the title of Taskmaster NZ Champion.
The season also features some twists and nods to previous seasons of Taskmaster NZ and Taskmaster UK, such as the return of the Golden Power of Veto, the Double Eviction, and the Battle Back competition. The season also introduces some new twists, such as the Big Brother Vault, where contestants can find hidden advantages or punishments, and the Big Brother Roulette, where a random contestant can change one of the nominations before the eviction vote.
