For the signature challenge, the bakers had 2 hours and 15 minutes to bake 10 religieuse. In the technical challenge, the bakers had to make a postre chajá, an Uruguayan cake with layers of peach syrup soaked sponge and chantilly cream, and decorated with crunchy meringue and poached peach slices, in 2 hours and 15 minutes. In the showstopper, the bakers had 4 hours to make an entremet display, consisting of 24 entremets in two different flavours

Kids Baking Championship Summary
THE GREAT CANADIAN BAKING SHOW is CBC’s homegrown take on hit layout The Great British Bake Off. THE GREAT CANADIAN BAKING SHOW brings together 10 newbie bakers from throughout the Canada to compete in a chain of themed culinary challenges that celebrate their various backgrounds, families and communities. Each of the eight, one-hour episodes functions three rounds: The Signature Bake, the Technical Bake and the Show Stopper. After the judges taste and critique the bakes, they crown one Star Baker and ask one baker to go away the tent. The final three bakers compete for the Great Canadian Baking Show title.
